ABOUT THE AMBASSADORS OF AFRICA
Ambassadors of Africa is an Organisation that has, over the years, made progressive and remarkable impact among African youth with the sole aim of building a generation of young and talented Africans who will change the world. We seek to create a platform for the appreciation of Africa’s beautifully adorable cultural heritage through active youth involvement starting from grass route; considering Secondary school and Higher institution students. This Organisation started in Nigeria by 5 highly committed, dutiful, proactive and innovative young Africans in the year 2010 and now, it records a growing number of national and continental volunteers and protégés within its few years of establishment. We also concentrate our efforts on the development of African culture and and we aim to "reach out to the youths by way of the Arts" increasing African's confidence in our heritage and developing its appreciation across the globe.
MISSION:
To produce African YOUTH with exceptional skills to positively affect the world through LEADERSHIP and ENTREPRENUERIAL development.
To provide Africans especially for the YOUTHS with the needed potentials to project and effectively REPRESENT Africa
PROJECTS:
In the last few years, we have executed several educative and career development programmes which has yielded positive and outstanding results. Our scope of projects cover the following areas:
1) Youth Development,
2) Teenage Sensitization,
3) Women Empowerment,
4) National Transformation Campaign, and
5) Charity.
We deliver our mandate through various life changing programmes such as; A-Students (raising excellent students, a student at a time); a personal development programme organized for secondary school students, BrainStorm (ideas for global transformation); an enlightenment programme that brings together youths to discuss topical issues with the aim of proffering solutions to problems and KickStart (raising global entrepreneurs); a skills development project that provides a platform for participants to become proactive self reliant business owners. Other programmes that we have organized include the United Nations approved International Youth Day, the Nigeria Independent Speech Contest (NISCON) as well as the African Young Leaders Summit (AYLS) that was sponsored by the University of Sussex, UK and attended by participants from different parts of the country featuring local and international speakers.
In Summary, the Ambassadors of Africa is an organization of young, passionate and proactive youths tirelessly striving for a recall of Africa’s integrity; determined to build Africans into global giants. In order to create the desired social change in our communities, we majorly target the youthful population working towards transforming them into resourceful individuals that will make significant impact on the world. Our aim is to build Africans into global giants!
