*Happened earlier today* a National consultative workshop on the role and space of the private sector in the implementation of the FYDP II.
The objective was to get inputs from stakeholders to inform the implementation strategy for FYDP II.
The following are among the Key issues raised:
1. A clear need for structure and effective dialogue between the government and the private sector/CSOs
2. The need for prioritization of interventions/ activities in the plan
3. Government must address issues around business environment, especially multiplicity of regulatory bodies (eg. Taxation)
4. The need to have an innovative financing strategy
5. The need to rethink the role of regional and district authorities in the implementation of plans.
