This February at Victory Christian Centre (VCC) we have started a special series on Holy Spirit and
Faith. We started by looking on the different types of faith that are
found in the book of James 2:14-26.
1. Dead faith
2. Emotional faith
3. Dynamic faith
Today, we will look into what DEAD FAITH is:
i. This is a faith that does not work or bear fruits.
It mainly depends on our understanding of logics and on our intellects
ii. It is sometimes called the intellectual faith as it looks to different facts and logics in order for it to function.
iii. This kind of faith is usually limited by our knowledge of different facts and logics
iv. It is merely a compliance to the agreement with a set of Christian
teachings (intellectual assent) and as such is an incomplete faith
v. In this type of faith, someone may to have a great understanding of
the Word of God but bears no fruit from the knowledge of the Word that
he/she has.
