you would actually do His will, you must truly know His heart.
And
your heart will be pure and open to God. It is the pure heart who will receive God
- Ps. 24:3-4, Ps. 15:1-5

HOLINESS - Is not who we are; it is who God
is.
Holiness
is the character of God.
Dynamics
of Holiness is the divine force that produces in us the character of God, which
is Holiness. It is also the supernatural
force (from the Holy Spirit) which sanctifies us and consecrates us to God.
HOLINESS COMES FROM SEEKING THE GLORY OF
GOD.
Ps. 34:4-5, Jn. 5:44
This
simply means living for him and not for things. This takes you to a level where
the degree to which you open up to him is so great that no room is left for
unrighteousness to be considered - Jn. 7:18b
As
we truly find God, the things which are so highly esteemed among men will
become detestable in our sight - Lk. 16:15
WHAT TO DO IN PURSUIT OF HOLINESS
a. Fight the battle for holiness - Rm. 7:21-24.
There
is a war constantly going on i.e. wanting to do good and evil trying to have
its way in our members. The war must be fought and constantly won. How? Ps. 119:9-11
b. Ensure
holiness in the body - I Cor. 9:27.
It
is true that you are a spirit but you live in the body. Whatever the body is
subjected to will also affect the spirit. So the body must be put under control.
c. Ensure holiness in spirit -
II Cor. 7:1
The
spirit is the real man and must be kept free of all filthiness. Must be in
constant fellowship with the spirit of God and engaging in spiritually
exercise.
d. Holiness and our will - Phil. 2:13
Our
will has a lot to do with our actions. To live and act in holiness, we must
open up to God and subscribe to his will alone.
a. Form a Habits of holiness - Rm. 6:19
The
more we sin, the more we are inclined to sin. The more we live holy the we
develop a lifestyle of holiness.
THE BENEFITS OF HOLY LIVING
The benefits that accrue to holy
living are innumerable. Apart from other attendant benefits, you are instantly
guaranteed a completely new and fulfilled life in Jesus; also you enjoy God’s
presence continually.
While the wages of sin is
death, the wage of holiness is life more abundantly. Sin brings a curse and
holiness blessings and eternal life. Rom. 6:23, Ps. 112:1-3.
